Emotional Response to Vibrothermal Stimuli

چکیده
Emotional response to haptic stimuli is a widely researched topic, but the combination of vibrotactile and thermal requires more attention. The purpose this study investigate emotional vibrothermal stimulation by combining spatiotemporal stimulus with dynamic (hot or cold). were produced using Haptic Chair Embr wave bracelet, respectively. results show that patterns their duration, stimulation, have an independent effect on response. Increasing duration generally increases valence arousal Shifting temperature from cold hot decreases has no significant arousal. Nevertheless, certain do exhibit unique responses changes in temperature, although interaction effects found. potential designing affective interfaces multimodal feedback.

Functional Brain Response to Emotional Muical Stimuli in Depression, Using INLA Approach for Approximate Bayesian Inference
Introduction: One of the vital skills which has an impact on emotional health and well-being is the regulation of emotions. In recent years, the neural basis of this process has been considered widely. One of the powerful tools for eliciting and regulating emotion is music. The Anterior Cingulate Cortex (ACC) is part of the emotional neural circuitry involved in Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)....
متن کاملNeural response to emotional stimuli during experimental human endotoxemia.
Increases in peripheral cytokines during acute inflammation may affect various neuropsychological functions. The aim of this functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) study was to investigate the effects of acute endotoxemia on mood and the neural response to emotionally aversive visual stimuli in healthy human subjects. In a double-blind, randomized crossover study, 18 healthy males receive...
متن کاملAmygdala Response to Emotional Stimuli without Awareness: Facts and Interpretations
Over the past two decades, evidence has accumulated that the human amygdala exerts some of its functions also when the observer is not aware of the content, or even presence, of the triggering emotional stimulus. Nevertheless, there is as of yet no consensus on the limits and conditions that affect the extent of amygdala's response without focused attention or awareness. Here we review past and...
متن کاملIdentifying Cognitive Bias and Emotional Response to Appearance-related Stimuli
An inferior body image is the main diagnostic criterion for eating disorders and it is positively correlated with avoidance coping strategy using. The users of avoidance coping strategy indicate attentional bias to attractive stimuli (Kwak & Lee, 2007). Also they show more negative affect, stress, and body dissatisfaction after exposure to appearance-related stimuli than before exposure (Stewar...
متن کاملCortical activation in alexithymia as a response to emotional stimuli.
BACKGROUND Alexithymia has been shown to be related to many psychiatric and somatic illnesses. Aberrant emotion processing in the brain may underlie several psychiatric disorders. However, little is known about the neurobiological underpinnings of alexithymia. AIMS To determine the way in which the brain processes emotion in alexithymia. METHOD The participants were 10 healthy women with al...
